PAST PRESENT THE FUTURE
Old Evergreen Historic Trail, (OEHT) is the road that connects dreamers, builders, explorers, sportsmen, and conservationists from the past and future. Our goal is to build a trail along this historic road to preserve our history, improve pedestrian & bicycle safety, and inspire a spirit of community for future explorers.

Part of the Lewis and Clark historic trail
The OEHT section, highlighted in orange and part of the purple on the map, is a vital connecting piece to the entire trail system. This section of trail connects the Eastern part of Clark County (Washougal and Camas), extends to the south, accessing Oregon, via the 205 freeway, reaching downtown Vancouver, and finally North to La Center, WA.
Our unique story of visionaries who built the 205 bridge, shippers who delivered lumber for the Queen's Castle in Hawaii, entrepreneurs who built regional businesses, and the engineers who made dreams possible. Each contribution shares a story of courage, vision, and resilience. We want to share our many stories with those who walk along the trail. By using QR codes, we will provide a step-through history to experience of how the American Dream was realized in our community.
To build a 10-foot-wide multi-use trail that connects multiple cities within Clark County. This trail will provide safety for residents and visitors, while highlighting our shared history.
Slow but steady progress has been made toward completion. The map shows the completed sections of the OEHT trail, sections scheduled for completion in 2026, and the current funding focus.
